Explore an abandoned mine in this captivating roguelite adventure.

BACKGROUND

In the late 1800s, a rich vein of iron ore was found deep in the bowels of a mountain. The Covington Mines were swiftly set up, and it was soon found that this mountain contained unnatural quantities of rare ores, as well as several that had never been seen before. Miners flocked from all over the nation for their chance at the waiting riches. Many people prospered, and for a time, it seemed like nothing could go wrong. But as the poet Robert Frost succinctly put it, “Nothing gold can stay.”

After years of success, the disappearances began. Miners started vanishing slowly at first, then in ever-increasing amounts. Attempts were made by outside parties to find out why, but the investigations never got anywhere. The mines were forced to shut down, leaving behind virtually no documentation and rumors of terrible monsters. Nobody ventures to that area anymore, save for the occasional brave explorer that wants to get to the bottom of two things: the mines and the disappearances.

Tales of the Tunneler is a story about a brave explorer who dove into those mines, a story lovingly crafted by two people.

Hello. I saw a post about this game on twitter and decided to give it a try.

it's simple, but very fun.

Looking forward for an updated demo.

Hi, I've made a video about the game and wanted to share it with you and some feedback about it to help with the development :D

-The main idea of the game, and the mechanics work quite well.

-Visual style is quite interesting, but I think that some enemies could look better (snakes, and spiders especially) as they don't have animations for attacking, and the same goes for the main character as the animations in general could be improved.

-In relation with what I've said before the combat system feels bad and should be improved as there are times that you hit enemies through a rock (for example) but when you are in front of them the don't get hurt by your attacks.

-The "energy system" is quite interesting as it makes you think about what you exactly need to do before loosing all the energy or all your items to increase it.

-The crafting system is quite well done but the inventory management doesn't work correctly always as I had moments where I couldn't move objects correctly on it.

In conclusion, the idea is great and I hope you keep working on it. Hopefully this is useful for the development :D, also if you could subscribe that would help me a lot :)
